The Planning and Inspections Department prepares and revises comprehensive and strategic plans for Lillington; prepares & enforces land use regulations including subdivision, erosion control, watershed, zoning, and flood plains; enforces the N.C. State Building Code; provides technical assistance to the Town Council and Planning Board; and provides technical information to governmental agencies, private groups, and individuals.

Yes. To open a business, you will need to complete our Zoning Permit Application. If any work will be done to the building, please complete a Non-Residential Construction Permit Application. Please contact Jillian Brookshire at jbrookshire@lillingtonnc.org with specific questions relating to starting your business.
The Town of Lillington does not provide surveying services. Residents must consult privately with a surveyor for surveying services.
When erecting a fence, please avoid all easements, and follow the below guidelines from the Lillington Unified Development Ordinance.
