Geographic Information Systems (GIS)

Geographic Information Systems or GIS is digital-based mapping.  GIS allows users to easily view and interpret data in many ways that reveal relationships and patterns.  GIS helps users answer questions and solve problems by looking at data in a way that is quickly understood and easily shared.

GIS is an essential tool that assists the Town of Lillington in decision-making.  The two most requested maps (Jurisdiction and Zoning) are available below in .pdf format.

The GIS Portal (click on logo to the right) offered by Harnett County GIS / Land Records provides users an interactive, county-wide map with numerous user-friendly features to assist in answering questions.
