Chief Frank Powers

Powers joined the Lillington Police Department in 2000 after ten (10) years of diverse law enforcement experience.  He is a long-time Harnett County resident and graduate of NC State University.  Prior to his tenure in Lillington, Chief Powers was Sergeant of Special Operations with the Harnett County Sheriff’s Department.  The Lillington Police Department enjoys a high solve-rate for area crimes. Chief Powers has been credited with bringing stability to Lillington’s police force through strong leadership.  Chief Powers restructured the department's mission to focus on crime prevention.  This strategy is supported by enhanced training for the department’s officers and supervisors.
