Joseph D. Jeffries is the Town Manager of Lillington, North Carolina. The Lillington Board of Commissioners unanimously approved a contract for employment with Mr. Jeffries at their regular business meeting on Tuesday, October 10, 2017.
Mr. Jeffries comes to the Town of Lillington from Harnett County Government. He has more than 20 years of experience working in local government, including working in Pinehurst and Cary, and serving as Harnett County Planning Director prior to becoming the Harnett County Manager.
Jeffries is also an International City County Managers Association Credentialed Manager, a distinguished professional achievement that brings significant opportunities to the Town of Lillington.
Jeffries is originally from Angier, North Carolina, and continues to live in Angier with wife Maria and three children ages 13, 11 and eight. He graduated from Harnett Central High School in 1988, and earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Urban and Regional Planning from East Carolina University in 1996.
